Rangeland Management Tech – GSENM BLM

Position Type: Internship

Wage: $13.68 – 15.84 per hr DOE

Location: Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (Kanab)



Interns selected for these positions will have a variety of opportunities to conduct inventorying, monitoring, and assessing range conditions as part of the AIM (Analyze, Inventory, and Monitoring) program; and/or weed management utilizing weed control equipment and techniques. Interns will be working with a wide variety of natural resource, cultural resource, and Government employees. This position may require work on the weekends and limited overnight camping.

Living Conditions: Must provide own living quarters. Kanab is a rural community with limited services available


Some experience in one or all of the following is helpful but not necessary to apply for the internship position: natural resource management, biology, physical science, or botany. Experience with herbicide (weed) treatments is a plus. Must have valid driver’s license. Background check required upon selection.

Weekly Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Mid May – End of August

Work Environment: Intern will be exposed to a variety of weather conditions (temperatures 45 – 105+ degrees).
