Hydrologic Aid – USFS Dixie

Location: Dixie National Forest, Cedar City, Utah

Description:  Hydrologic Aid

THIS INTERNSHIP IS BASED AT DIXIE NATIONAL FOREST

Assist the soil and water program in collection and database input of soil and hydrologic data including but not limited to water uses, water quality, stream functioning, and soil disturbance.  Significant training provided with many opportunities for hands on learning experiences.

Qualifications:

Consideration will be given to applicants that have:

  1. Experience working outdoors in a field setting
  2. Critical thinking and attention to detail skills
  3. Good communication and interpersonal skills allowing them to work well in a group
  4. Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing

 

Applicants who possess these skills and who are pursuing a degree in fields related to earth sciences will be given greatest consideration.
