The Dixie National Forest Heritage Program is hiring one Historic Photograph Archivist Intern. The Historic Photograph Archivist Intern will catalog, digitize, and archive historic photographs, negatives, slides, film, and documents for the Dixie National Forest Heritage Program. Preservation of these items is essential in preserving the history of southern Utah by keeping alive the memory of the individuals and events who came before us. The Archivist Intern will see history come to life as they catalog, digitize, and archive items from a range of visual mediums. The ideal individual for this position is detail oriented, dedicated, and able to work at a computer for long periods of time, and has an interest in history.
This position is located in Cedar City, UT at the Dixie National Forest Supervisor’s Office. The internship will begin early February 2018 and end the last week of April 2018. The intern will work 20 hours per week, hours are flexible and negotiable upon hiring. No travel or field work is required; this position involves office work only.
Housing will NOT be provided.
