Greenhouse and Visitor Management Intern- Zion National Park

Description:

THIS INTERNSHIP IS BASED AT ZION NATIONAL PARK

2-3 days per week intern will assist green house staff watering nursery plants, replanting natives, and removing invasive species. 2-3 days per week, staff will assist with loading shuttle buses, orienting park visitors to Zion, answering questions on natural and cultural resource significance, and providing safety and regulatory information to visitors to ensure they have an enjoyable and safe visit. Intern may also hike front country trails answering questions and taking visitor counts. Work will be conducted outdoors.

Qualifications:

Consideration will be given to applicants that have:

  1. Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  2. Enjoy working with individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds.

Applicants with these skills and that are pursuing majors in a parks and recreation related field will be given strongest consideration: outdoor/parks recreation and management, tourism and hospitality, biological sciences, education, and history and cultural resource fields.

There is no housing available for this position.
