THIS INTERNSHIP IS BASED AT FISHLAKE NATIONAL FOREST IN LOA UT
Job Entails assisting with marking, cruising, and laying out timber sales. Data collection may also occur. This will entail measuring and identifying trees, use of field software and measuring equipment, taking pictures, etc. Most work will be accomplished in mountainous terrain under various weather conditions. Training on equipment use, data collection, etc. will be provided. All equipment will be provided by the Forest Service.
Applicants must have appropriate clothing for mountainous terrain. This includes leather boots that are above the ankles (no tennis shoes). Safety equipment such as hard hats and vests will be provided by the Forest Service. Applicants must have a good attitude and work well in group settings. Must have an attitude of support for safety in the workplace.
